TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The instructor will at all times endeavour to comply with appointment arrangements but cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience due to unforeseen events.
Lesson fees must be paid at the time of booking, you will pay for one lesson in advance. Lesson payments must be made at beginning of each lesson, and can be by cash or cheque.
You the pupil must inform your instructor of any medical condition or other effect that may impair your ability to drive, whereupon your instructor will take the appropriate action to conform to their legal and moral obligations. You must hold a current and valid driving licence which must be produced on your first driving lesson. Any changes to your driving licence due to medical conditions or driving convictions must be communicated to me immediately. Please ensure that you present yourself in suitable clothing, particularly practical footwear. It is also important to attend lessons with any appropriate glasses or contact lenses for reasons of road safety. If I think you are unfit to drive for failing to meet any of these conditions, the lesson will be cancelled at your expense. I cannot accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage arising from a driving lesson. Your instructor reserves the absolute right to refuse the loan of the vehicle for the purposes of taking any type of test or assessment if it is likely to jeopardize the good name of either party.
If your test is cancelled at short notice by the DVSA, your lesson fee is still payable. Your lesson fee is to be claimed by yourself from the DVSA who will reimburse such expenses.
Your instructor will not be held responsible for damage or marking to clothing as a result of coming into contact with areas of the vehicle subject to road dirt, brake dust, mechanical oils or grease when partaking in the Show me, Tell me section of the course or practical test. This may involve lifting the bonnet for which gloves are provided if required.
Your instructor will not be held responsible for any refusal by a DVSA examiner to conduct a test due to a light bulb failure or damage to tyres caused by the candidate. All bulbs and tyres will be checked by yourself and your instructor at the start of the pre test lesson.
Damage to the School Car: During lessons, I will make every effort to avoid damage to the car. However if I consider that you were driving in a dangerous or unpredictable way during a lesson and actual damage is caused despite best efforts made, you will be expected to pay half towards repairs. This will be discussed at the time of the damage. In addition, during driving tests, the examiner will not prevent you, the candidate from hitting the kerb or causing other similar minor damage to the car. Therefore, all damage caused by you whilst on test will be charged to you.
You, the pupil must give at least 48 hours notice of any lesson cancellation for ANY reason or a short notice cancellation charge will still be payable.
